MIDWEEK COMMUNION SERVICES across the South Cheltenham Team

Nick Davies, our Team Rector, writes, “Following lockdown and the reduced number of clergy serving across the South Cheltenham team, we are changing the pattern of our midweek Communion services. These changes follow consultation with churchwardens and clergy colleagues across the team. From July we will be moving to a teamwide pattern of midweek communion services with one service taking place each week, circulating around the churches of the team, advertised in all news sheets and open to everyone. The monthly pattern of services is as follows:

  • Week 1: Wednesday 12noon at Pip and Jim’s
  • Week 2: Wednesday 10.30 at St Stephen’s
  • Week 3: Tuesday 10.30 at Warden Hill
  • Week 4: Wednesday 10.30 at St Peter’s
  • Week 5: No service

We will begin this new model in July and then we will take a break in August (in acknowledgement of significant clergy annual leave) and then begin in earnest in September. We will keep these arrangements under review and make changes should new colleagues join the team. I realise that this will come as a disappointment to some but hope that it does provide a fair and sustainable pattern of services accessible to people across the whole team area”.

WEEKLY PRAYER MEETING

There will be a weekly, open prayer meeting in the Memorial Chapel at Pip & Jim’s, on a Tuesday between 1.15-2.15pm.
