NOTICES

Rededication Service for Pip and Jim’s Bishop Rachel will be coming to Pip and Jim’s this coming Thursday 14th October at 7.30pm to lead a service of Rededication following the completion of their reordering. They have been keen to ensure that they can fit in the usual congregation but would also like to invite representatives from the other churches of the team for what should be a joyful celebration. If you would like to attend, please email their administrator Robyn Robinson at info@pipandjims.org.uk .

Farewell to Fr Peter and Jean on Sunday 17 October following mass
We have invited Fr Peter and Jean to join us in the meeting room for a drink and cake to say a proper farewell to them, and to give them their remaining gifts. It would be good if as many people as possible could join us.

Dot Cook has passed away at the grand age of 101. Her funeral is at the Crematorium (Oak Chapel) on Thursday 14th October at 11am.

Sidespeople needed! We are in need of sides people/welcomers to meet and greet people as they come to church. This is an important role, more so, as we have new people attending. If you can help please see Jacqui or Sue.

Memorial benches At the last PCC meeting we discussed the idea of having a memorial bench/benches in our church yard. We would have plaques with the loved ones name on attached to the bench. If you would be interested in donating towards this please let me know (all donations wouĺd be very welcome). Sue.

Labyrinth Walking Taster Evening As you may know, we now have a labyrinth floor mat in our team. We are keen to start using this across the South Cheltenham area and offering it to our wider community as an opportunity to engage in a meditative and spiritual exercise. As a starting point, Nick Davies and Liz Mitchell are offering a taster evening for those who would like to know more about labyrinth walking and to experience it for themselves. This will take place at Pip and Jim’s on Monday 18th October at 8pm. We hope from this to be able to recruit a small team of those who might be interested in taking this forward but the evening is very much open to all, regardless of future commitments! To book your place, please email Liz fizzmitchell@gmail.com
